Python Training: Beyond the Basics; Build Real World Tools

Ready to level up your Python skills? In this interactive, project-based workshop, you'll move beyond one-off scripts to build functional tools that automate tasks, analyze data, and even harness AI. What You’ll Do: Automate real-world workflows using the command line and third-party packages Clean, merge, and visualize real datasets (CSV, JSON) with pandas Explore NLP with large language models (LLMs)—write prompts to clean and interpret messy data Build and evaluate a regression model using open data Chain everything into a functional mini–AI agent Who Should Attend: This is for Python users who know the basics—loops, functions, conditionals—and are ready for real-world applications. If you’ve completed an intro course like Software Carpentry’s Python Novice Lessons (or similar), this is your next step. Why It’s Worth It: Walk away with reusable scripts, a working machine learning model, and a better grasp of what AI can really do—all in one day. Requirements: Bring your laptop with Python 3.12+ installed.
